Even though you may feel differently about the matter, when you’re playing a game on the Xbox 360 and you get stuck at a point where you simply cannot proceed any further, cheating is not always the best option. Sure it’s the easiest and also the quickest way to get yourself out of a predicament, but that’s not to say it’s the way to go. Bear in mind that by resorting to cheats, you’re simply fooling yourself.
You need to remember that the game production companies design these games in such a way so that they can prove to be a challenge. The puzzles in the Tomb Raider games are in fact a perfect example, even though those who are avid fans may not find the puzzles impossible to overcome.
Amusingly enough, there are so many people who really get frustrated when they end up getting stuck in a game because for them, the main goal is to get through the game. The minute they get stuck they resort to the cheats, often using cheats which are capable of competing a level automatically.
At the end of the day, only the most serious gamers are willing to admit that cheating in a game is not really the way to go, and if you think about it for a while, you’ll see it’s true, considering that games cost a lot of money. Essentially, if a game is designed in such a way so that it’s going to take you a few hours to get past a certain stage, then that is actually how it’s meant to be.
Admittedly, there are certain games which are exceptionally difficult but they’ve been made that way for a reason. In fact, that’s exactly why the manufacturers employ game testers, in that they can establish whether or not there are any parts of a game which are impossible to get past.
The logic behind this approach is that if they can get through the game, then so can you. You simply have to realize that some games require more thinking than others, but if you’re a fan of action games in that you enjoy shooting the hell out of your enemies, then puzzle games can prove to be extremely challenging. This is essentially because you are accustomed to fighting your way through numerous enemies and when you get stuck, cheating simply doesn’t solve the problem.
Many people see cheating in a video game the same as cheating in real life. You should refrain from doing this in video games and rather become an honest player. If you find yourself stuck in a videogame, look around and pay attention to your surroundings. What you need is there. People are not ganging up on you and doing this to you deliberately. You need to think some more.
If you have gone through a majority of your games by cheating, for once try to complete a game without cheating. You will not only finish the game properly, but you will also not be fooling yourself.
